Kim Rudd
Treasurer

I work in the Healthcare Industry and have been employed with UnitedHealthcare for 30 years. I enjoy helping people navigate our complex health systems.

I am a Senior Director of Operations for our Vision and Dental business and our Portfolio Management for Specialty Operations. I have an MBA in Business Administration and enjoy being an adult learner. I am happily married to my partner of 20 years, and I have a daughter, son-in-law and two beautiful grandsons. I enjoy Camping, Hiking, Traveling, and River Rafting (the lazy kind). I also love to give back to my community and volunteer at various community events.

I have been the host of a Family Council Session at a local nursing home, supported the North Texas Food Bank, a UHCCF supporter, and am also a team leader for the Alzheimer’s Association each year in Dallas (this one is personal for me). Because I enjoy giving back to the community and being a part of something positive in the community, is the reason I decided to join the Board of Directors here at the North Texas Pride Foundation.

Jeff enjoys spending time with family and friends. When not volunteering he enjoys lake boating and tubing, traveling as often as he can enjoying outdoor activities like hiking, site seeing, the beach and exploring new cuisines.

Jeff joined the North Texas Pride Foundation to support our mission and play a larger role in the community through the foundations activities.

Bill Demeduk
Member

Bill lives in McKinney with his three children (David, Daniel & Jasmine) and two dogs (Marty & Brandy). He moved to McKinney (with his now ex-husband) in 2009 from San Diego, CA, where he was born and raised, mostly for a bigger home and a better educational system for the kids.

He has worked in various positions leading up into management at a major US Defense Contractor. Bill connected with Morris Garcia, who was then president of CCGLA (now GALA) when he moved here. He hosted the next two years’ Christmas parties for the CCGLA organization and then moved on with Morris to support the North Texas Pride Foundation (NTPF) as a board member. He was involved with NTPF for multiple years but had to step down due to work and family demands. He reached out to Morris again in 2022 to rejoin the NTPF board once again.

Bill has seen first hand how McKinney schools and the general population treats gay men and their children. And the verdict is good. In 12 years of school for three kids, there was only one incident of a kid making fun of one of his kids because he had (at the time), two dads. That’s a pretty remarkable statement. He is happy to be once again more involved with the LGBTQ+ community in North Texas.

Tim Phillips
Co-Founder and Emeritus Board Member

I love the fact that I can proudly say that I am an American and a Native Texan. My family roots run deep in this state. My family can be traced back to the people that pinned the Texas State Constitution. I was born in Mesquite Texas and grew up in Ellis County. I have a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management along with some education in Computer Science. Currently I am working in the Credit industry. I was a volunteer for CCGLA doing special events. I was on the board for C.U.R.E which stands for Community, Unity, Respect, and Education by displaying blocks of the AIDS quilt. I am a Co-founder of North Texas Pride Foundation. I am also a Drag Artist that helps raise funds for other nonprofits that benefit the community.

I moved to Dallas in the summer of 2005. I met my partner, now husband, in 2008. We married in August of 2015. My husband had a dream of doing the first pride event in Collin County. I saw it as a way of making one of his dreams come true. This having been said we had the first event in 2011. When I came up with the Theme of “Come As You Are“ it was truly meant to come to the party and feel free to be you. I didn’t realize then that we were making history much less a movement north of highway 635 for LGBTA+ community.
